Actors Zin Taihyun and Park Si-eun announced good news about a week after giving up plans for a second child.
Zin Taihyun said on the 6th, "Six-month checkup after thyroid cancer surgery. All completely normal. Very grateful."
Earlier, Zin Taihyun confessed that he was diagnosed with thyroid cancer during a health checkup in April last year. At the time, he said, "During the health checkup my wife Park Si-eun and I took, we received unexpected news," and shared his feelings before the surgery. He then underwent thyroid cancer surgery in June and recovered.
Three months later, Zin Taihyun said, "The hospital did blood tests and various marker tests. Everything is normal," and added, "Many people worried whether I could live my old life again. But I think worry captures a person. Even during and after the surgery, this is the first time I haven't been so focused. Maybe because I want to run marathons well, my focus is on recovering and living well rather than being sick and worried; there is no time for that kind of worry."
Above all, he said, "Three months after the surgery, my wife and I are getting along very well," and added, "After surgery, the first, second and third are stability. It's not 'Zin Taihyun ran, he isn't in pain.' It's that I'm not in pain. Don't take it too lightly. It's possible because it's me. I built up my stamina even before the surgery. Even before the surgery I would go out and, when bored, run 20 km or 15 km. That's why my recovery was fast."
Meanwhile, Zin Taihyun married actress Park Si-eun in 2015, and in 2019 they drew attention by announcing the adoption of a college-aged daughter. Last year the couple made headlines again by announcing the adoption of two daughters.
