"Zzanbro" guest Rhee Minjung revealed YouTube behind-the-scenes stories along with her love story.
On the 5th, the YouTube channel Zzanbro uploaded a video titled 'Sober first meeting Rhee Minjung Yoo Ji-tae | [Zzanbro EP.126]'.
That day Rhee Minjung revealed the behind-the-scenes story of her husband Lee Byung-hun's proposal. Rhee Minjung, who said the proposal background music was Kim Dong-ryul's "Thanks," said, "There was a screening for the movie 'Red,' so I suspected something before we went," and laughed, "I hated myself for noticing it, so I thought, 'Please don't let me know.'"
She went on, "When we got to the screening and watched it, I became certain. After the movie ended they told us not to go to the restroom, so I thought, 'Ah, there's something after this,'" and recounted the situation. After that, a video Lee Byung-hun had prepared was shown on the theater screen, and at the blackout Lee Byung-hun himself appeared on stage and handed her a ring. Rhee Minjung recalled the "tearful proposal," saying, "After seeing the video almost everyone in the audience cried. Even though I already knew, I cried too."
The conversation continued to Rhee Minjung's YouTube activities. When the topic of giving her son Junhoo advice about YouTube came up, she said, "I directed everything from the opening line. He insisted we must do a subscriber pledge, so that was really hard," and burst out laughing.
She also mentioned the much-talked-about '500,000 subscriber pledge.' Rhee Minjung said, "I didn't expect Lee Byung-hun's movie to be released so soon," and explained, "I put up a 500,000 pledge to bring director Park Chan-wook and Lee Byung-hun, but at that time we didn't have many subscribers so his face appeared with a blur." She added, "When I asked their opinion they said blur would be better. We respected their right to their likeness," and added, "But we gradually lightened the blur."
Hearing this, Shin Dong-yeob joked, "Isn't that Byung-hun gaslighting? Everyone can see it but they'll think it's blurred," drawing laughter.
Meanwhile, Rhee Minjung's YouTube channel surpassed 500,000 subscribers on Dec. 16 last year, and has since succeeded in revealing Lee Byung-hun's face as promised. From the proposal behind-the-scenes to the backstory of the YouTube pledge, candid episodes of Rhee Minjung and Lee Byung-hun received strong responses from viewers.<
