Singer Kwon Jin-won mourned actor the late Ahn Sung-ki, who died while battling blood cancer.
Kwon Jin-won said on the 5th, "My chest feels tight… warm words and smiles... Ahn Sung-ki sunbae, the big brother in my heart, I will always remember the beautiful times we shared. Rest peacefully in a good place.. I pray for your happiness."
She added, "With respect and love, sincerely, Jin-won," and released photos taken of the late Ahn Sung-ki while he was alive.
The late Ahn Sung-ki died on the morning of the 5th at 9 a.m. while receiving treatment in the intensive care unit at Soonchunhyang University Hospital in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, with his family at his bedside. He was 74.
A funeral hall was set up in room 31 of Seoul St. Mary's Hospital funeral hall, and the chief mourners listed included his wife Oh So-young and their two sons. The late Ahn Sung-ki's funeral will be held as a "film industry funeral" for five days. Actors who had long respected him, including Lee Byung-hun, Lee Jeong, Jung Woosung, and Park Chul-min, will carry the casket and see him off on his final path. The funeral procession will be held at 6 a.m. on the 9th, and the burial site is Yangpyeong Byeolgeurida.
