Singer Bada expressed a heavy heart while sharing memories of the late Ahn Sung-ki.
On the 5th, Bada posted on her SNS, "At the cathedral... I only bowed a few times from very far away. I hurried to leave because I thought you, senior, might be uncomfortable with the quietly celebrated mass. Seeing me hurry off, 'You come often... you must be busy... it's good to see you going so diligently. Our Bada, I always support you' — the senior who warmly spoke to me first. Every time I attended mass with the senior I had always admired, my heart felt so warm and happy," posting a long message.
He recalled memories of the deceased, saying, "You congratulated us on our marriage and invited us to your home, where you served piping hot noodles to me and my husband and offered a handful of blessings as beautiful as poetry," and "Sitting at the fishing spot with your son, quietly setting the float, saying it was fine even if no fish came, simply touching the tranquil sunlight with your eyes. 'Bada, I love this peaceful calm so much...' you said, and you lavishly praised the packet coffee I gave you; our warm senior."
He continued, "Those shy, humble smiles you always gave — being able to see up close the deep warmth of a true elder was a grateful time," and added, "I will consider your deep and wistful wish to share more with those in need, and even when I go a long way around, I will live humbly and awake."
Finally, Bada mourned, adding, "Please watch over all of us from the sky with a kind smile. I respect you. I love you. Our senior Ahn Sung-ki."
Meanwhile, the deceased passed away at about 9 a.m. that day in the intensive care unit at Soonchunhyang University Hospital in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, while his family watched over him. He was 74.
The funeral for the late Ahn Sung-ki will be held as a 'film industry funeral' for five days. Actors who had long respected the deceased, including Lee Byung-hun, Lee Jung-jae, Jung Woosung, and Park Chul-min, are expected to carry the coffin and escort him on his final path. The funeral procession will be held at 6 a.m. on the 9th, and the burial site is Byeolgeurida in Yangpyeong. In addition, a public memorial space will be set up inside the Seoul Film Center through the 8th.
