BTS added another 500 million-stream song on Spotify.
According to global audio and music streaming platform Spotify, "Filter," a track from BTS's fourth studio album MAP OF THE SOUL : 7 released in Feb. 2020, surpassed 500 million cumulative streams (chart dated Jan. 4).
"Filter" is Jimin's solo song and showcases his delicate tone. The song uses the word "Filter" in various senses—beyond the camera, the way people look at someone, colored glasses, and so on—to express a desire to always show people a fresh and fun side.
When it was released, "Filter" reached No. 87 on Billboard's main song chart the Hot 100 (chart dated March 7, 2020). The album containing the song, MAP OF THE SOUL : 7, proved its global success by reaching No. 1 on Billboard's main album chart the Billboard 200.
BTS has many hit songs on Spotify, including "Dynamite," which surpassed 2 billion streams; "My Universe" and "Butter," which each achieved 1.5 billion streams; "Boy With Luv (feat. Halsey)"; and "FAKE LOVE." Dominant in the global music market, they are scheduled to release their fifth studio album on March 20 and will also hold a world tour to meet fans worldwide with new music.
As they prepare for full-group activities, songs they released in the past are showing presence on global charts, proving the interest and expectations directed at them.
