Taiwanese actress the late Seohee-won has been gone for about a year, and news about her husband, singer Koo Jun-yeob, has resurfaced. He continues to mourn unchanged, visiting his wife's resting place every day.
A Taiwanese fan recently said on an online community that they visited the Jinbosan (Jinbosan) cemetery in Taiwan on the 3rd (local time) and directly saw Koo Jun-yeob. The fan said they went to the cemetery early in the morning using public transportation, and on their way down after performing the ancestral rites they met Koo Jun-yeob coming up carrying a large bag.
When the fan greeted him in Korean, saying "Seohee-won's fan," Koo Jun-yeob silently pointed to the deceased's gravestone and quietly responded. Afterwards, he took out prepared items and, without sitting in front of the gravestone, immediately began wiping the tombstone.
According to the eyewitness account, Koo Jun-yeob carefully wiped each side of the gravestone, front and back, and stayed there for a while without even unfolding a folding chair. The fan said, "His expression looked very lonely so I couldn't speak to him," and added, "I watched from afar and quietly left," expressing more sorrow.
In fact, this is not the first time Koo Jun-yeob has shown such behavior. Local media and fans have previously captured him reading at the cemetery, watching the deceased's works on a tablet, and tidying the area around the grave on multiple occasions. There have also been testimonies that he was watching the drama "Meteor Garden," in which Seohee-won appeared during her lifetime, again at the grave.
The deceased's younger brother Seohee-je also moved many people to tears when he said on an awards ceremony stage, "My brother-in-law goes to Jinbosan every day where my sister is to eat with her, and at home he is painting my sister's portrait," and "the house is completely filled with my sister's paintings."
Meanwhile, Koo Jun-yeob has maintained ties with his wife's family even after her passing. Last year he was seen attending a family gathering of Seohee-won's family, and local reports say he has been going through a difficult time, losing more than 10kg in weight, yet still visits the grave every day.
Koo Jun-yeob and Seohee-won first formed a relationship in the late 1990s, then separated, and met again more than 20 years later to become a married couple. Their brief but deep love has continued even after their parting.<
