The webtoon "Positively Yours" (story: Lee Jeong, art: Kang Gi) is being adapted into a drama and will reunite with readers. Webtoon specialist production company Jaedam Media said its popular webtoon "Positively Yours" is set to premiere as a Channel A weekend drama at 10:30 p.m. on the 17th.
The webtoon "Positively Yours," based on a web novel, is a work that depicts a tense romance that unfolds when Seewon, who dreamed of being a perfect teacher, becomes pregnant after a one-night deviation. Based on realistic subjects of sudden pregnancy and marriage, it centers on the story of two main characters growing within differing values, and there are some differences from the drama setting.
The webtoon "Positively Yours" gained wide sympathy thanks to the flashy and sensuous character design added by artist Kang Gi, who handled the artwork, and it is currently served on 10 overseas platforms, expanding its global readership. Domestically, it proved explosive popularity by ranking first for 52 consecutive weeks in the Naver Series Monday serialization category, and it can also be found on 14 domestic platforms including Ridibooks and Kakao Page.
Drama production will be a joint effort between production company Media Group Take Two, which has presented diverse works such as Youth Over Flowers 2 and Daughter-in-law, and Studio PIC, the production company of Typhoon Family, which recently concluded successfully. In particular, Media Group Take Two received praise for faithful direction that preserved the charm of the original and high empathy through the webtoon-based popular drama Daughter-in-law.
