Group ENHYPEN has teased a "concept album" in which the lyrics and sound of every track are meticulously connected, and they have carefully planned even the album components to draw fans into immersion.
On the 5th, according to HYBE Music Group label Belift Lab Inc., ENHYPEN (Jeongwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Ni-ki)'s mini 7th album 'THE SIN : VANISH' will be released in four themes: 'FORBIDDEN', 'AFTERLIGHT', 'STORM' and 'FUGITIVES'.
The album's four themes portray the escape incident of the "vampire lovers" from the perspectives of different characters. Through stories and props that capture each perspective—such as a journalist, supporters, a pursuit team and the lovers themselves—fans experience an immersive feeling as if participating in an actual manhunt.
First, the 'FORBIDDEN' version expresses the perspective of a journalist covering the incident. It includes items that add realism, such as a reporter's notebook, a press pass for reporting, a recorder and a chocolate bar-shaped prop to stave off hunger during a busy schedule. It also contains a flyer seeking tips about the runaway lovers, raising the concept's completeness.
The 'AFTERLIGHT' version contains the collectibles of supporters who cheer on the two lovers who chose love by breaking the taboo of a society where humans and vampires coexist. Fans can also enjoy the enthusiastic fun of decorating a diary with stickers and pin badges, scrapbooking related articles or keeping mementos in this version.
The 'STORM' version is filled with items of the pursuit team that upholds society's rules. Evidence and marker stickers secured by the pursuit team, and lyric sheets designed like file folders recording investigative details convey a cold, tense atmosphere vividly.
The 'FUGITIVES' version recreates the belongings of the vampire lover who caused an unprecedented incident. The wallet, filled with a passport, ID card, credit cards and banknotes, features a bold patterned design that suggests the fugitive vampire's daring and free-spirited character.
Fans have reacted fervently to the album that unfolds the vampire narrative through actual objects, analyzing the meaning of each component.
