Comedian Shin Ki-ru said her New Year's resolution is to cut back on drinking and smoking.
Recently, a video titled "Tried various neighborhood delivery restaurants while hearing various good stories (chicken, amberjack sashimi, Dubai jjondeuk cookie..)" was posted on the YouTube channel "Mwo-deun Ha-gi-ru."
That day, Shin Ki-ru held a live stream with daytime drinking and interacted with fans through the comments. About her goals for this year she said, "I never really have goals. I want to finish this year well; as always, I don't have goals," but added, "It sounds cliché, but I want to be better today than yesterday, and I want to be a funnier person than yesterday."
In particular, when asked whether she still uses e-cigarettes these days, she replied, "Yes," and frankly said, "Rather than a New Year's resolution, one of my small plans is to cut down on cigarettes."
She continued, "I plan to smoke about one pack a day. I am a celebrity who acts. It would be good to quit smoking, but for now I'm going to cut down on cigarettes and also reduce drinking a bit."
Another fan recounted a good story, saying, "Sister, at your first birthday you were doing 'dam-ta' (smoke time) but stopped in the middle and told them to take care, please add that good story."
In response, Shin Ki-ru recalled, "I left a long cigarette halfway and told them to take care, but everyone, that's significant. If that period was the time when people said stopping a 'dam-ta' halfway and telling them to take care was a good story, that period must have been when people smoked regular cigarettes."
She added, "Also, the days when I smoked regular cigarettes were times when my circumstances were worse than now. Not because I was poor I smoked regular cigarettes, but because it hasn't been many years since I switched to e-cigarettes. Still, leaving a long cigarette and putting it out to greet a fan is a good story, I admit."
