Actress Rhee Minjung revealed the behind-the-scenes of the proposal with her husband Lee Byung-hun.
On the 5th, a video titled '맨정신으로는 초면 Rhee Minjung·Yoo Ji-tae' was posted on the YouTube variety show Zzanbro EP.126.
On that episode, Rhee Minjung and actor Yoo Ji-tae appeared and talked about various topics. Rhee Minjung, when asked about the proposal, said, "The BGM was Kim Dong-ryul's "Thank you"," and opened up. She said with a laugh, "Lee Byung-hun was holding a screening for the film 'Red,' and I noticed something even before we went. That bothered me a lot. I even thought it would be better not to know."
She went on, "When I got to the venue I became more certain. After the film ended they told us not to go to the restroom. I thought, 'Ah, there's something after the movie,'" recalling the moment. In the end, after the film, a video prepared by Lee Byung-hun was shown on the screen, and at the blackout Lee Byung-hun actually appeared on stage and handed over a ring.
Rhee Minjung said, "Even though I knew, when I saw that video most people cried, and I cried too," and added, "Even though it was spoiled, the emotion remained," drawing attention.
Meanwhile, Rhee Minjung and Yoo Ji-tae meet viewers in the TVing original series Villains. As the first project for the two working together, Rhee Minjung said, "Actually it was filmed three to four years ago," and joked, "People will ask, 'Why doesn't Rhee Minjung age?,' but this was before I had two children. I like that very much."
Rhee Minjung also revealed the nickname her husband Lee Byung-hun calls her, adding to the laughter. She said, "My husband calls me 'female Shin Dong-yeob.' He says we like the same things and tease each other the same way." She continued with a laugh, "Around the time I was about to have a child I said, 'Should I try something like Zzanbro too?' and my husband said, 'If you do it, Dong-yeob can beat you. If you do it sitting down you can do it the same.'"
In response, Shin Dong-yeob said, "When I go to Lee Byung-hun and Rhee Minjung's house they always make delicious food. He has a really good personality." Rhee Minjung also added, "When I first went to my in-laws' main house and lived there, the food was really delicious," adding to the warm atmosphere.
