Members of Rula, who dominated the 1990s, are now biting at each other.
The biting among Rula members began when Shin Jeong-hwan, who appeared on the YouTube channel grants B-grade Studio on the 2nd, said, "Although Rula did well, I never received proper accounting. I received 1,200,000 won every five years."
Shin Jeong-hwan said, "When asked, 'Wasn't senior Lee Sang-min the producer at the time?' he confessed, "He was the producer back then. Sang-min hyung slightly promoted us during our first album and sold us to that company. He sold us for an extra payment. He focused on Chakra's side."
In particular, Shin Jeong-hwan added, "From the signing bonus I received, I gave Taek Jae-hoon hyung 1,500,000 won, and so we eventually started Country Kkoko."
Lee Sang-min snapped at Shin Jeong-hwan's remarks. Lee Sang-min immediately rebutted, "No, I was also a singer of the agency; why would I settle accounts for someone? It seemed the biting between Shin Jeong-hwan and Lee Sang-min would end as a misunderstanding, but Ko Young-wook stepped in and delivered the final blow to the biting. Ko Young-wook recently shared articles about Lee Sang-min's winning of the '2025 SBS Entertainment Awards' grand prize and expressed dissatisfaction with lyrics containing phrases such as "a selection of the grand prize that many do not accept" and "would people be this angry for no reason?"
In particular, Ko Young-wook quoted a comment saying, "A married man who is a regular on a single-concept variety show wins the grand prize? Isn't this true black comedy?" directly criticizing Lee Sang-min's grand prize win. He also added the phrase "the recurring controversy over Jee Seokjin's neglect," questioning the fairness of the awards ceremony.
Lee Sang-min has not yet issued any notable response or position to Ko Young-wook's biting. The Rula members who once dominated the 1990s and were close have retreated amid various controversies, and Shin Jeong-hwan and Ko Young-wook are unable to properly promote. Remembering Rula's heyday, their biting is only bittersweet.
