Hollywood star Timothée Chalamet publicly expressed his affection for his partner, model and businesswoman Kylie Jenner, in his acceptance speech, drawing attention.
Timothée Chalamet won the best actor award for the film Marty Supreme at the 31st Critics' Choice Awards held April 4 (local time) at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California. After taking the trophy in his hand, he thanked his fellow nominees, the production team and director Josh Safdie.
Later, at the end of his acceptance speech, Chalamet said, "Finally, I want to thank my partner of three years. Thank you for giving us a strong foundation," mentioning Kylie Jenner. Kylie Jenner, who was seated in the audience, mouthed "I love you" and smiled, and the two naturally kissed each other when the winner's name was announced, showing their affection.
That day, Chalamet prevailed over strong contenders including Leonardo DiCaprio, Joel Edgerton, Ethan Hawke, Michael B. Jordan and Wagner Moura to grab the trophy.
In the winning film Marty Supreme, Chalamet delivered a powerful performance as a genius table tennis player dreaming of winning the world championship in 1952. He had earlier expressed special affection for the work, saying, "Because it's a story about chasing dreams, I'm putting my whole heart into every part of the promotion."
This win came after Chalamet's fourth Critics' Choice nomination. He has consistently been recognized for his acting in Call Me by Your Name, Beautiful Boy and A Complete Unknown, among others.
Meanwhile, Chalamet previously dated Johnny Depp's daughter Lily-Rose Depp and Aisa Gonzales. Kylie Jenner is a single mother with one son and one daughter from her previous partner Travis Scott.
