Group Billlie member Tsuki drew viewers' support with a fiery challenge against her limits.
Tsuki completed her first full-course marathon in life despite an injury on the MBC variety show 'Extreme 84' broadcast on the 4th, deeply moving viewers.
Even in heat with an apparent temperature of about 40 degrees, she continued the "fun run" enjoying the local festival atmosphere with a bright smile, but right after passing the half point at 21km she rolled her ankle on a rock and faced a crisis. As the pain in her foot grew worse, with 20km remaining her legs went weak and she faltered for a moment, then saying "It will be harder if I stop," she got back up and headed for the course.
At the chateau she stopped at to regroup, the toe pain showed little sign of easing. Tsuki controlled her breathing and repeatedly told herself "It's okay, you can do it," and urged her legs "Hang on a little longer," continuing her hard-fought race toward finishing. Recalling that her father had previously completed the Médoc Marathon, and amid the cheers pouring in at spots along the course, Tsuki's "positivity" shone even more, and with the cry "I can do it" she maintained her pace to the end.
After passing the 38km mark, she vocalized to forget the pain and continued "tear running." As she had vowed "I will finish no matter what," she reached the finish line after a 6-hour, 17-minute, 45-second epic journey, and completed the race without ever walking despite her swollen feet, leaving viewers deeply moved. Immediately after finishing, Tsuki proudly told her mother the news and cried, and in a video call with her father, when asked "How does it feel to see the medal?" she was congratulated with "That's amazing," making the moment even more touching.
Through the broadcast that day, Tsuki showed the meaning of finishing created not by merely attempting but by the will to never give up until the end. Her marathon, completed with the resolve "I can do it," left a deep impression on viewers.
