Netflix animation 'K-pop Demon Hunters' (Kedeheon) won two awards, best animated feature and best song, at the Critics' Choice Awards in the United States.
On the 4th (local time) at the 31st Critics' Choice Awards held in California, 'K-pop Demon Hunters' defeated strong contenders such as 'Zootopia 2', 'Elio', 'In Your Dream', and 'Arko' to take home the award for best animated feature.
Also, with the Kedeheon OST 'Golden', it won the award for best song, lighting a green light for the Oscar race.
The Critics' Choice Awards is presented by the Critics' Choice Association, the largest critics' organization in North America, and is considered a precursor to the Golden Globes and the Academy Awards.
Kedeheon, released in June, is an action-fantasy animation about K-pop superstars 'Rumi', 'Mira' and 'Joy' who secretly act as heroes protecting the world behind their glamorous stages, and it sparked a global phenomenon by surpassing 300 million views—the first in Netflix history—in three months.
