Ha Joo-seok's parents said they expected Kim Yeon-jeong might leave at that time. The father said, "We are grateful she stayed by his side. She took good care of Joo-seok so he played baseball again, and we were so happy. She said, 'If Joo-seok can't earn money, I'll earn it,'" expressing gratitude to Kim Yeon-jeong. Kim Yeon-jeong said, "Isn't my strength cheering? What I could do was cheer."
Ha Joo-seok's parents gave the couple a heartfelt letter. Kim Yeon-jeong, tearing up, said, "Meeting such warm parents-in-law made me feel, 'I married well.'"
