"Run to Live 2" surprised viewers by revealing Sean's rapidly grown son.
MBN variety show 'Run to Live season 2' episode 6 showed the "Run to Live crew" participating in the "2025 MBN Seoul Marathon" held at Seoul Jamsil Sports Complex.
This marathon was held as a 10km paired run under the theme "together RUN, value RUN," designed as a time to reflect on the meaning of running while running with a partner. Broadcaster Bae Seong-jae said, "Unlike usual, running with someone and sharing the value of running will make it a meaningful race."
That day Sean appeared side by side with his third son Ha-yul, completing a warm father-and-son two-shot. The cast continued to admire the two, and Bae Seong-jae said, "Finally I get to see this two-shot. They truly look like matching partners," expressing delight. Sean said with a proud smile, "Ha-yul has been running for about two years, and his 10km record is 38 minutes 59 seconds. My record is 39 minutes, so I actually tell him to go slower," boasting about his son.
Hearing this, Lee Young-pyo added, "All four siblings have excellent running skills. Ha-eum has records in the 40-minute range, Ha-rang has a 36-minute-range record." Jeon Bae-su joked, "In that household, if you can't run in the 30-minute range they don't give you a meal, do they?" turning the set into a sea of laughter.
Sean laughed and waved his hand, saying, "That's not the case," then continued talking about the children. He said, "The eldest Ha-rang runs every day, but Ha-yul achieved a very good result even though he was only running about twice a week when he set that record," and added, "If he practices steadily like his brother, a 34-minute-range record is certainly possible," showing deep trust and pride in his son.
Bae Seong-jae asked Ha-yul, "Today will you run considering your dad, or will you run together?" and also asked about their usual father-and-son conversations. Ha-yul answered, "Usually we mostly talk while eating, but today I want to talk more while running," warming the scene.
