'Reliable performer' Monsta X (MONSTA X) Jooheon wrapped up his activities on the web variety show "Simcheongi" with a warm donation ahead of his comeback.
Jooheon recently completed his appearance on the solo web variety show "Good errand center–Simcheongi" (hereafter "Simcheongi") on the YouTube channel "Nakta jeonyong doro." "Simcheongi" is an abbreviation of "Errand requests, this way," and during 12 episodes Jooheon carried out errands he received through various stories, solving neighbors' worries and delivering joy and warmth.
In the final episode of "Simcheongi," Jooheon introduced his new record "光 (INSANITY)" ("Gwang Insanity"), which is set to be released on the 5th, saying, "My second solo album will be released after 2 years and 8 months." He added, "Before I knew it, 'Simcheongi' reached episode 12. I think it will be complete once a certain amount of ceremonial rice is filled," and set out on the final errand to fill the ceremonial rice to 300 sacks from the 293 sacks collected so far.
Jooheon took part in packaging volunteering for "food packages" for vulnerable neighbors ahead of Christmas. He personally packed 30 "food package" sets that would be delivered to grandparent-headed households, elderly people living alone and young people preparing for independence, adding care to each set, and while volunteering he asked fellow volunteers about what prompted them to start volunteering and the moments that made them feel rewarded, reflecting on the meaning of the service.
Among them, a student said they had enjoyed Jooheon's pre-release track "Push (Feat. Rei of IVE)" (hereafter "Push"), released on the 22nd of last month, and offered encouragement, creating a heartwarming atmosphere. Jooheon also said, "I felt proud while packing," showing his sincere feelings about the volunteering.
After finishing the packing, Jooheon set out to deliver the "food kits" and the collected 300 sacks of ceremonial rice. He had a heartfelt conversation with a young person preparing for independence and offered sincere encouragement, wrote a letter himself to convey warm feelings, and then visited child protection facilities "group home" and "Hyemyeong Mayville," encouraging the children's dreams and adding more meaning to the donation.
After finishing the volunteer work, Jooheon was awarded a certificate of appreciation for his contribution and marked the end of his "Simcheongi" journey that began in October last year. Jooheon said, "All the past moments pass by like a panorama, and receiving this certificate of appreciation at the end feels good. Through 'Simcheongi' I met various people and my perspective as a person, Lee Jooheon, has broadened. It's such a warm program that I hope it receives even more love," sharing his sincere feelings and moving people. At the end of the video, in an epilogue Jooheon reflected on his time on 'Simcheongi' by talking about the most memorable errands and clients and the errands that were difficult.
Jooheon, who ended on a more meaningful note through donations, expressed through his agency Starship Entertainment, "I was so lucky to be able to meet a program called 'Simcheongi,' and I was able to learn so much. I'm very grateful to all the staff who worked with me and to Monbebe (the official fan club name) who watched over me every week. As the episodes increased and the ceremonial rice accumulated, I hoped it could help someone sooner, and it feels more rewarding and meaningful to be able to deliver it directly to vulnerable neighbors. I won't forget the time I put my heart into 'Simcheongi,' and I want to continue to bring good influence in everyday life and through my activities. I'll show many great sides as a singer, so please look forward to the upcoming solo album," he said.
Meanwhile, Jooheon will release the mini album 2 "光 (INSANITY)" at 6 p.m. on the 5th (KST) through various online music sites and begin full-fledged comeback activities.
