Comedian Park Narae is powerless against the revelations and leakage of her private life.
On the 3rd of last month, Park Narae's former managers filed a petition for provisional seizure of real estate at the Seoul Western District Court and filed a lawsuit seeking about 100 million won in damages, alleging specific and serious criminal charges beyond simple unfair treatment, including ▲workplace harassment ▲special injury ▲proxy prescription ▲nonpayment of hosting fees.
Park Narae's agency set a mortgage of about 4.9 billion won on her single-family home, and the court on the 29th of last month granted the petition for provisional seizure. One lawyer explained, "The court closely examined the matter and judged that a provisional seizure was necessary. At the very least, Park Narae may feel psychological pressure, and she will need to clarify her position more clearly going forward."
Park Narae is seeking to restore her reputation by additionally filing complaints against her former managers for attempted extortion and embezzlement in the course of their duties, but after being hit with allegations that she injured managers from the first day of the new year, she was further reported to have performed a 19+ act with her boyfriend in a car driven by a manager.
According to Channel A's report, Park Narae's former managers filed a written complaint on the 18th of last month with the Seoul Regional Office of Employment and Labor Gangnam branch stating, "While seated in the driver's and front passenger's seats and moving, Park Narae performed a specific act with a man seated in the back seat," "because of the closed nature of the vehicle, we could not avoid this or leave our seats, and using her position as an employer she forced us to visually and audibly perceive unwanted scenes and sounds," and "during the act she repeatedly kicked the driver's seat with her foot, which was a dangerous situation that could have led to a traffic accident."
Since the video titled "final statement" that Park Narae released on the 16th of last month, she has kept her mouth tightly shut. It appears the background is the judgment that any remark or explanation she makes could disadvantage her in the legal battle with the managers, and in that statement Park Narae said, "I judge that this matter is not a personal emotion or relationship issue but a matter that should be objectively verified through official procedures," showing her determination to fight to the end to restore her honor.
After releasing the final statement video, Park Narae has been left helpless. Because she declared that it was her final statement, it is difficult for her to speak about allegations such as that she threw a glass and injured a manager or that her private life was leaked alleging a 19+ act in a car. Instead, Park Narae additionally filed complaints against her former managers for attempted extortion and embezzlement in the course of their duties, then appeared at the police station and underwent an investigation as a complainant.
Park Narae has suffered image damage to an extent that may be irrecoverable after being left helpless following the release of the final statement video. From the start of the new year, she has been hit with revelations and leaks of her private life; it remains to be seen whether she can recover her image and honor, which plunged through the floor and into the basement, through battles in the courts.
