Choreographer Ria Kim and Choi Young-Jun sparked marriage rumors with a surprise wedding concept video, and the truth has been revealed. The two explained directly that it was an event to promote the '2025 Choreo Awards,' not a real marriage.
On the 4th, the two released a concept video on SNS evoking a tuxedo and wedding dress and surprised fans with the phrases, "Yes, we married dance!!!" and "We invite everyone who loves dance. Your surprise."
In the video, Ria Kim laughed, "You were really surprised, right? I think many people were surprised," and continued, "After a long unrequited love and finally a real proposal, I ended up marrying dance," which led to misunderstanding as an actual marriage announcement. Choi Young-Jun also added to the atmosphere by saying, "Please congratulate us a lot."
But it was only a performance. The two said the reason for the wedding concept was, "We gave a surprise greeting in the form of wedding photos to commemorate the '2nd 2025 Choreo Awards.'" They added, "Many choreographers and dancers are preparing great stages," and urged, "Since it is a meaningful event, please be sure to come."
They made a clear line regarding the marriage rumors. Ria Kim and Choi Young-Jun said, "We are close friends," and joked, "We hope you don't misunderstand. But ... it's true that it felt like something you could misunderstand," drawing laughter.
