A German woman identified as Ms. A, who exposed actor Lee Yi-kyung's private life, said she is preparing a counterclaim.
On the 4th, Ms. A wrote on her social account, "In May I reported that I sent capture materials related to the actor's sexually problematic remarks and photos by email to the actor's agency office. The attached material related to this case captures the circumstances in which a voice call came from the actor," and she offered additional comments.
Ms. A said, "The materials include a conversation explaining that I was unable to take calls at the time, and they also include the conversation and the date in which I captured the screen showing an incoming voice call and sent it to an acquaintance," and added, "In this process the actor said, 'Because you sent mail to our office, your personal information will all be revealed, are you okay with that? This is a crime that can be investigated by hiring a lawyer.' This remark, excluding any mention of or responsibility for the sexually harassing remarks he previously used, implied that my personal information could be disclosed and was conveyed in a threatening way."
She continued, "Also, after I sent the email to the agency, even though I did not directly mention to the actor that I had reported to the agency, the actor contacted me first, which made me confident that it was indeed him. Afterwards the actor said, 'Now because of you I may have to meet reporters,' and 'I thought of you as a close junior and shared daily life and kept in touch for a long time, so why did you do that?' Because of these remarks and the situation, I felt psychological pressure and there is a background that led me to send a correction email indicating that I would cancel my report."
Ms. A said, "The reason I cannot submit captures of the entire conversation flow is that I later changed my phone and that chat room is not on the device I currently use," and added, "The credibility of the conversation contents and materials will be verified during the investigation by law enforcement. The attached captures are not fabricated, and I am reviewing and preparing the necessary complaint procedures in accordance with future guidance from the embassy. I also request that if the actor wants to uncover the truth of this case, he sincerely comply with any forensic procedures that may take place."
In October last year, Ms. A alleged, "I had sexual conversations with Lee Yi-kyung." Ms. A repeatedly deleted and reversed her posts, at one point apologizing and saying the initial accusation was manipulated by AI and then reversing that position to insist on her grievance. Lee Yi-kyung's side has filed a complaint for defamation over spreading false information and is awaiting the results of the investigation.
