'극한84' Gangnam has joined as a new crew member.
On the April 4 broadcast of MBC variety show '극한84' episode 6, the 극한 crew was shown beginning full-scale preparations ahead of their final challenge, the Arctic marathon.
At the end of that day's extreme journey, Kian84 surprised everyone by announcing the Arctic marathon. He said, "Eunji and Tsuki are our crew members, but this competition is the toughest. Because the difficulty is different, I invited the final crew member," and introduced Gangnam as the new crew member.
Gangnam, who runs 15 to 20 km a day, said, "Actually, I have wanted to visit the Arctic and Antarctic for a long time," and revealed that he started running because of Kian84 and Kwon Hwa Woon.
Gangnam said, "They ran so fast they left me behind. From then on my pride was hurt so I ran every day. I currently run 20 km every day. I don't skip a single day. My wife is from that side, so I want to challenge the Arctic," he said.
Kian84 said, "Gangnam originally didn't run but started running from the summer of Aug. 2025. He lost 20 kg. So Sanghwa really likes me. She said I made her husband handsome," he said.
Stimulated strongly by Kian84 and Kwon Hwa Woon, Gangnam said, "Since then I haven't taken a day off," and asked about Kwon Hwa Woon, who even runs home, "What is he doing? Watching him run is unbelievable." Kian84 said, "He went to Berlin today," and reported that he is currently running a marathon.
Gangnam even surprised everyone by saying he once ran 52 km at a stretch. In response, Kian84 said, "I used to have fat on my jaw, but it's gone," and Gangnam shot back, "You used to be a pig, so it's good. You look handsome now."
