Kim Kardashian gifted her daughter North West a one-of-a-kind skull necklace encrusted with more than 100 diamonds as a Christmas present.
On the 2nd (local time), U.S. outlet People reported that jeweler Alex Moss, who made the custom bracelet, said he worked on the accessory designs with North.
One of the accessories is a spiked necklace chain with a cartoon skull pendant engraved with "North" on the back. The pendant was made with natural diamonds of 71.49 carats and 35.38 carats respectively, bringing the total diamond weight of the entire necklace to an astonishing 106 carats.
North also received a spiked bracelet made from Tuscan Italian leather set with 22.76 carats of natural VVS-grade white diamonds.
Moss said the necklace design was inspired by a design he made in 2018 for rapper Playboi Carti, and the bracelet design was influenced by a bracelet North already owned and a design he made in 2022 for rapper Ken Carson.
The designer has worked with Madonna, Tyler, the Creator, and Justin Bieber and his spouse, in addition to Kardashian and North.
Over the past year, North drew attention several times for her bold fashion sense. Her daring outfit choices, including a bold corset she wore in August last year, and her audacious finger piercings caught the eye. That prompted some criticism of parenting methods, but Kardashian said North has now learned to ignore such criticism.
Kardashian said, "My daughter is really mature in some ways. She even says, 'Mom, whether people hate my blue hair or this or that, I don't care.' She's really full of confidence."
