Singer Jo Joo-han appeared on KBS Cheongju's 'We lend you the stage' broadcast on the afternoon of the 2nd, spreading joyful energy to living rooms with his characteristic robust vocal power and flashy stage manners.
On that day Jo Joo-han, who appeared bowing while saying "Happy New Year," passionately sang Youngtak's "Hallyangga," overwhelming the atmosphere at once with high notes that soared refreshingly along with stage manners that reflected the leisurely ease unique to a hallyang. In particular, his emotional expression that breathed life into every line of the lyrics, explosive vocal power, and flashy performance vividly proved why he is called a leading figure of "gugak trot."
Not only his charisma on stage but also his wit and entertainment sense shone. Jo Joo-han showed perfect chemistry with university alumni Lee Mi-ri, who appeared with him, and revealed a college anecdote saying, "I was much senior so I couldn't raise my face. I only greeted and looked at my toes," provoking pleasant laughter.
In the following stage, Jo Joo-han and Lee Mi-ri presented a folk song medley duet continuing with "Miryang Arirang," "Boat Song," and "Gangwon-do Arirang." Jo Joo-han performed a sangmo spinning performance on stage, and beyond a simple song show, he stole viewers' senses with an immersion like watching a work of art.
Jo Joo-han, who is loved as a versatile entertainer active in musicals, films, and variety shows as well as a singer, made a name for himself with the public through numerous competition programs such as "Joseon판Star," "Burning Trotman," and "Super karaoke survival VS," and has been praised for pioneering his own unique genre by incorporating high-difficulty performances like the traditional yeonhui's ground turning into pop music.
Meanwhile, Jo Joo-han, who stole the public's senses on part 1 of 'We lend you the stage,' is scheduled to present an even richer performance on part 2 of 'We lend you the stage' at 7:40 p.m. on Jan. 9.
