Singer Kang Daniel said he will participate in some activities of Wanna One, who are reuniting for a reality show for the first time in seven years.
On the 2nd on the fan community platform WeStage, Kang Daniel directly replied to a fan who asked, "Us?? Are you participating in Wanna One?"
Kang Daniel said, "Ah, there are a lot of questions about this so I want to answer..it's that reality show, right?" and "And I will be studying abroad next year so maybe just an intro…together..?" he answered cautiously.
Interpreting this, Kang Daniel appears likely to participate partly in "Wanna One Go," which is being produced aiming for a broadcast slot in the coming first half of the year. Kang Daniel later added in a comment that "next year" meant this year and that "studying abroad" meant enlisting in the military.
Meanwhile, Wanna One is a project group that debuted through Mnet's audition program "Produce 101 Season 2" in 2017 and received massive love while achieving craze-level popularity at the time.
In this regard, a video titled "2026 coming soon we will meet again" was recently released on Mnet's YouTube channel, and the video was shared by Wanna One members, raising expectations for a "Wanna One comeback."
In this regard, on the 2nd an Mnet official told OSEN, "While Wanna One members were considering meeting with Wannables, they agreed on producing the reality program that Wannables liked the most," and "Mnet is preparing with the goal of releasing it in the first half of 2026. We will inform you of the specific lineup and details as soon as they are finalized," the official said.
As Wanna One members gather their strength for variety shows again seven years after ending activities, Kang Daniel is also expected to film only some parts before enlisting in the military.
