'Group After School alumnus actress Nana suffered the shocking damage of a home invasion robbery and, after it was revealed that she was even counter-sued by the perpetrator, sympathy for her has deepened. Amid this, Nana personally expressed her feelings and delivered a sincere message to fans.
On the 2nd, her agency Sublime said in an official statement, "Due to the intruder armed with a weapon, actress Nana and her family suffered serious physical·mental damage, and that pain is ongoing," adding, "Nevertheless, the perpetrator, without remorse, filed a separate lawsuit against actress Nana, causing secondary harm." The agency strongly criticized it as "an inhumane act exploiting the fact that the victim is a celebrity." Nana's side made clear they will respond with all possible civil and criminal legal measures.
Earlier, in November last year Nana experienced an incident in which an assailant armed with a weapon broke into her home. At the time, Nana and her mother subdued the perpetrator after a physical struggle, but in the process the mother suffered a choking injury and nearly lost consciousness. Police judged the situation as self-defense and did not book Nana and her mother.
Afterwards, Nana cautiously revealed her feelings after the incident through a fan communication channel. She said, "A considerable time has passed since I learned I was sued," and added, "I found out about that fact while I was trying to overcome mentally difficult parts."
She continued, "Until the time of meeting with fans and the time of commitment for the fan signing approached, I did a lot of thinking and worrying to steady my shaken and weakened mind and spirit," and confessed, "I tried to focus and do my best in the time given." She said, "I did not want to break my promise with fans because of this incident, and I wanted to meet them again healthy and in a stable state."
Nana said, "Spending time alone I regained some stability and felt I became a little stronger," and added, "I was able to hold the fan signing I had hoped for, and that moment was so grateful and happy." She went on, "I was able to keep the promise, and I felt that fans were fully enjoying the moment rather than worrying, so that day became a special day for everyone."
