Comedian Park Narae, who halted activities amid allegations of power harassment toward her manager and controversy over illegal medical procedures through an unlicensed injector known as the 'injection aunt,' was recently reported to have liked a post on Kim Sook's social media.
At the 2025 MBC Entertainment Awards held on Dec. 29 last year, Kim Sook, who won the grand prize, mentioned Park Narae in her acceptance remarks.
At the time Kim Sook said, "'Save Me, Homes' has been on for seven years, and I don't think we've been able to officially express our gratitude," mentioning the production team and cast, and at the end she added, "including team leader Narae."
Some netizens debated whether it was appropriate to mention Park Narae, who stepped down amid controversy, in the acceptance speech, but Kim Sook posted about attending the year-end awards on social media without further explanation.
Kim Sook said, "I express my gratitude to the production team. Seven years of Save Me, Homes, five years of Midnight Ghost Stories. This year I had a busy year appearing on Hangout with Yoo and the Seoul Music Festival~" expressing thanks to fans, her staff and her family.
Park Narae responded to Kim Sook, who mentioned her, by liking that post, and it was reported that this was the first time Park Narae shared an update via social media since suspending activities.
Meanwhile, Park Narae is currently suspended from activities amid multiple controversies. On the 3rd, former managers of Narae filed an application for provisional seizure of real estate worth 100 million won with the Seoul Western District Court, claiming Park Narae's power harassment, special injury, proxy prescriptions, illegal medical procedures and unpaid hosting fees. They also warned of a lawsuit seeking damages, alleging harm suffered during their employment. In response, Park Narae denied the former managers' claims and instead countersued them on attempted extortion charges.
Accordingly, the former managers accused Park Narae of embezzlement, alleging she falsely registered an ex-boyfriend as an employee and transferred money under the guise of salary, and they also submitted complaints alleging special injury and defamation. Meanwhile, circumstances suggesting that Park Narae received prescriptions for psychotropic drugs and illegal medical procedures from an unlicensed injector known as the 'injection aunt' were detected, and a report was filed through the national petition system.
Park Narae is currently facing allegations including violations of the Medical Service Act, special injury, violations of the Act on the Promotion of the Development of and Support for the Popular Culture Industry, defamation by publishing false facts, violations of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, and embezzlement. Subsequently, Park Narae additionally sued her former managers on embezzlement charges, and a police investigation is underway.
