'Boss's ears are donkey ears' cast member Jang Deul-le expresses a bold wish to transfer to Song Eun I's company, foreshadowing a stir.
KBS 2TV 'Boss's ears are donkey ears' (directed by Choi Seung-hee / hereinafter 'Boss's Ears') is a voluntary role-reversal and self-reflection program by Korea's bosses to create workplaces where people enjoy working. In the last episode it recorded a peak viewership rating of 7.7%, continuing its streak of 186 consecutive weeks at No. 1. (Nielsen Korea)
On the April 4 broadcast of 'Boss's Ears', Yojo, Jang Deul-le, Park Se-jin, Kang A-sol and other members of the Wow San Records family, which includes seven artists, and Kim Yoon-ju, CEO of Rooftop Moonlight, appear and meet close friend and CEO Song Eun I.
Kim Yoon-ju looks at the noticeably towering 'Media Lab Seesaw' building from the alley with envy and vows, "Let's get out of our cramped office and soon have a building like this," and when the building's exterior is revealed, Kim Sook says, "Huh? This looks familiar," showing pride that she is working as a director at the company, while Jun Hyun-moo proudly looks at the centrally placed carpet and says, "It's the carpet I bought."
Then Jang Deul-le, carrying a potted plant, visits CEO Song Eun I's office, and Thunder Lily and CEO Kim Yoon-ju, having dropped their earlier solemn demeanors, in sweet voices say, "CEO Song Eun I~ thank you always," and suddenly bow deeply, drawing laughter. Song Eun I asks Jang Deul-le affectionately, "Deul-le, do you like me that much?" raising the tension. Jang Deul-le surprises everyone by proposing, "I want to release an album with senior Song Eun I." But then, like an applicant at an interview, he peppers questions such as "What are the company's welfare benefits?" and "How many managers are assigned per artist?" and shyly confesses his true feelings in a soft voice, "I'm jealous," causing everyone to burst into laughter.
In response, Song Eun I makes a shocking offer, saying, "If you honestly want to escape, I'll introduce you elsewhere," then firmly shuts down Jang Deul-le's one-sided affection by saying, "We want groups focused on performance rather than vocalists." However, Jang Deul-le, undeterred, boldly declares, "I can perform as well," prompting curiosity about whether Jang Deul-le, a genius singer-songwriter loved by all the artists, can transform into a performance group member and how Kim Yoon-ju, who started Wow San Records to recruit Jang Deul-le, will react.
Meanwhile, KBS 2TV 'Boss's ears are donkey ears' airs every Sunday at 4:40 p.m.
