Park Seojin is heading out on her first trip with her three siblings to celebrate the new year.
On Saturday's broadcast of KBS 2TV Mr. House Husband season 2 (hereinafter "Mr. House Husband"), Park Seojin is shown taking a trip to Mungyeong, North Gyeongsang, with her second older brother Hyo-young and younger sister Hyo-jung.
That day, Park Seojin plans her first-ever trip with her three siblings and gives Hyo-jung a special mission. She tells Hyo-jung to bring their second older brother Hyo-young, who rarely shows up at family trips or events because he is busy. Hyo-jung arrives at the meeting place linked arm in arm with Hyo-young and completes the mission perfectly, but when the three siblings finally gather in one place, an awkwardness unexpectedly hangs in the air.
Park Seojin opens up, saying, "When we were young I was close with my brother, but as we grew up our relationship became awkward." As the winner of the 2025 KBS Entertainment Awards' grand prize, she struggles with the burden of having to carry the first broadcast of the new year, saying, "At this rate all the airtime will be lost," and works hard to get her taciturn brother to speak. She even issues a "no silence" order, saying, "Talk a lot, answer in more than five syllables," prompting laughter.
Meanwhile, Park Seojin prepares a meaningful event to commemorate her first trip with her three siblings. Remembering that there is not a single photo of the three siblings together, Park Seojin proposes a special photo reenactment. They take out childhood photos and recreate the scenes exactly as they were. Hyo-young takes the place of their late second older brother, and the three siblings complete a moving moment where past and present overlap.
Also on this trip, for the first time on the broadcast the three siblings reveal the wounds and feelings they had kept buried in their hearts. The three siblings, who had to endure on their respective paths to support the family when they were children, cautiously share feelings they had not been able to disclose anywhere until now.
Having given up schooling and stood on the front lines of life early, Park Seojin reflects on the past and empathizes with Hyo-young's heart, who had quietly shouldered responsibility for the family. She looks back on the time her brother swallowed his pain without showing it, saying, "The phrase he always used like a habit was 'bury it, bury it and go.'" In response, Hyo-young also confesses for the first time about the life he had no choice but to choose for his family and his inner thoughts, leaving a deep impression.
What began as a trip full of laughter and bickering soon turns into a time for deep conversations, and whether this trip will bring any changes to the siblings' relationship can be seen on Saturday at 10:35 p.m. on KBS 2TV "Mr. House Husband".<
