Actor Jisung expressed his feelings about returning to MBC for the first time in 10 years since "Kill Me, Heal Me."
On the afternoon of the 2nd, at the MBC Golden Mouse Hall in Sangam, Mapo-gu, Seoul, an MBC production presentation was held for the new Friday-Saturday drama "Judge Lee Han-young" (planned by Jang Jae-hoon / written by Kim Kwang-min / directed by Lee Jae-jin, Park Mi-yeon / produced by OH Story, Slingshot Studio). The production presentation was attended by PD Lee Jae-jin along with actors Jisung, Park Heesoon, Won Jina, Tae Won Seok, Baek Jin-hee and Oh Se-young, who talked together.
Premiering today (the 2nd), "Judge Lee Han-young" is a justice-implementing return drama about Lee Han-young, a corrupt judge who lived as a slave to a giant law firm and returned to 10 years ago, who uses a new choice to punish great evil.
Through this work, Jisung returns to MBC for the first time in 10 years since "Kill Me, Heal Me," which aired in 2015. Jisung said, "When I think of MBC, 'Kill Me, Heal Me' comes to mind. In that sense I wanted to make it well, and while filming I felt MBC has its own color. We filmed energetically, and I hope the result meets the expectations," he said.
He explained the reason he chose "Judge Lee Han-young," saying, "When I compared the sync rate with 'Judge Lee Han-young,' I thought my sync rate was 50% because I don't have the ability to return. I wanted to resemble the courageous side of Lee Han-young so much that I wanted to act that way. Our drama places an honest weight on the fact that there is no single correct answer to what is right."
He explained, "So when you listen to the words of Kang Shin-jin, the axis of evil, his words sometimes seem correct. But Lee Han-young is a judge. His rulings affect society. Although it is a society within a drama, I chose this role with the thought that through Lee Han-young we might offer warmth to all viewers."
Meanwhile, MBC's new Friday-Saturday drama "Judge Lee Han-young" will premiere at 9:40 p.m. on the 2nd.
