Actors Park Shinhye and Cho Han-gyeol form an inseparable, peculiar relationship.
The new tvN Saturday-Sunday drama Undercover Miss Hong, set to premiere on the 17th (directed by Park Seon-ho, written by Moon Hyun-kyung), is a retro office comedy drama set at the end of the 1990s about 30-year-old elite securities inspector Hong Geum-bo (Park Shinhye) who goes undercover as a 20-year-old low-level employee at a securities firm where suspicious funds have been detected, triggering a series of chaotic events.
The stills released today (the 2nd) captured a two-shot of Hong Geum-bo and Albeot Oh (Cho Han-gyeol). About to go undercover as a low-level employee at Hanmin Securities, Geum-bo attempts to rent an adult video as a test to see if she really looks twenty, and there she accidentally meets film buff Albeot Oh.
As the two play a tug-of-war over a single adult video, Geum-bo brands his first impression as a "pervert." Albeot is bewildered and cannot hide his astonishment at the sudden misunderstanding. Their first meeting, which left a strong impact on both, is expected to raise curiosity about the story to come.
Later, Hong Geum-bo and Albeot Oh reunite at Hanmin Securities as a low-level employee and the head of the crisis management division respectively. Albeot, who entered the company as a parachute hire at the behest of his grandfather Chairman Kang Pil-beom (Lee Duk-hwa), feels a fresh stimulus from Geum-bo, who shows unexpected sides that contrast with the boring company life that does not suit him. The unusual relationship formed between Geum-bo, who performs her undercover mission decisively, and Albeot, a free-spirited head of division and a lounger, further raises anticipation for the broadcast.
Touted as a box-office queen, Park Shinhye's meeting with tvN has raised expectations for Undercover Miss Hong, which brings together strong actors including Park Shinhye, Ko Kyung-pyo, Ha Yoon-Kyung and Cho Han-gyeol, promising nearly perfect synergy. Director Park Seon-ho, who directed Greasy Melo, Business Proposal and Suspicious Partner, joins the project to deliver a fresh twist as a turn-of-the-century office comedy drama.
