Hollywood actor and film director Tommy Lee Jones faced tragedy at the start of the new year.
On the 1st (local time) Page Six reported that Tommy Lee Jones's daughter, Victoria Jones, was found dead on New Year's Day at a luxury hotel in California. She was 34.
According to the report, Victoria Jones was found Thursday morning at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco. A Spokesperson for the fire department said that at about 2:52 a.m. a medical emergency call was received at the hotel's address and an ambulance was dispatched.
The Spokesperson said, "According to CAD records, people at the scene were instructed so they could perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation."
Victoria was found unconscious at the scene and was pronounced dead there. The case was transferred to the San Francisco Police Department and the coroner's office for further investigation.
Also, according to initial reporting by TMZ, Victoria's cause of death has not been determined so far.
A Spokesperson for Tommy Lee Jones has not yet commented.
Born to Tommy Lee Jones and his second wife, Kimberly Klugler, Victoria followed her father into acting as a child and appeared in the film "Men in Black." In 2003 she appeared in an episode of the popular teen series "One Tree Hill," and in 2005 she also appeared in the film "The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada," which her father directed.
In a 2006 interview with The New Yorker, Tommy Lee Jones said of his daughter Victoria, "She is a fine actor, she has a SAG card, and she speaks Spanish perfectly."
