Broadcaster Sayuri expressed a heartfelt wish for "health" as the new year began.
Sayuri visited a temple with her son Zen to take part in a temple stay on the YouTube channel "Sayuri's Death Note," which was released on the 1st. Calm
In the atmosphere, she talked with a monk over tea and, rather than a flashy wish, raised a practical concern first.
Sayuri confessed, "These days my body gets sick easily and I often catch colds," adding, "Raising Zen on my own, I have to live a long time, but I often feel that my body is not what it used to be." She continued, "Even though I'm taking care of myself, it seems my immunity has declined," honestly revealing her health anxieties.
Especially as a "single mother raising a child," a sense of responsibility came through clearly in her words. Sayuri said, "That's why I feel I need to be healthier," and added, "From now on I plan to exercise harder and take better care of my body," announcing her new year's resolution.
Her wish written down before doing 108 prostrations was also centered on health. At first she wrote "healthy mind and number of subscribers" together, then, following the monk's advice, corrected it to "I will be a person who gives good energy to the world with a healthy mind," drawing laughter. But behind that laughter was the sincere wish of a mother who wants to be with her child for a long time.
Sayuri, who has been loved for her humor and honesty, wished for a healthy tomorrow she could spend long with her son Zen more than success or luck as the new year began.<
