Model and actress Choi Yeo-jin candidly revealed the background behind taking a provocative underwear photo shoot.
On the YouTube channel Noppakku Tak Jae-Hoon video released on the 31st of last month, Choi Yeo-jin spoke frankly about the revealing photo shoots that had attracted attention and her thoughts on body maintenance. The video title is "Choi Yeo-jin, I'm sorry (I) love my body."
On that day, Tak Jae-Hoon bluntly asked, "I heard you said you took the underwear photo shoot out of spite because there was no one to show your body to before marriage," and Choi Yeo-jin smiled and replied, "That's right," sending the set into laughter.
Choi Yeo-jin said, "I worked hard to groom and exercise and maintained myself, but when I thought there was no one to appreciate it I got angry in the moment," and added, "I wondered what the point was of taking care of myself this much." She went on to add, "An underwear photo shoot may feel uncomfortable to some, but when there is an opportunity I wanted to leave the current me like a record."
The photo shoot was taken when Choi Yeo-jin was in her 30s, and she recalled, "There were really many offers for revealing-concept photo shoots," and "Even during my modeling days there were unusually many swimsuit shoots." Regarding the bold image, she drew a clear line, saying, "It's not exposure for stimulation, it's just an expression that leaves something to the imagination."
When asked which part of her body she cherishes most, Choi Yeo-jin answered without hesitation, "my buttocks," then added, "if I had to pick one, my legs," prompting laughter once more.
Meanwhile, Choi Yeo-jin married divorced businessman Kim Jae Wook on a boat on the Bukhan River in Gapyeong, Gyeonggi Province in June last year. Various allegations that arose during the marriage process were all found to be untrue.
Through the photo shoot, Choi Yeo-jin chose a way to love herself. Her candid confession is resonating again as an attitude of acknowledging and recording herself rather than a body meant to be shown.
