'Sixth Sense: City Tour 2' Park Shinhye almost burst into tears after seeing the purpose behind the fake she chose.
On the 1st episode of tvN variety show 'Sixth Sense: City Tour 2', Park Shinhye, who is returning to drama, appeared as a guest. Co-star Ko Kyung-pyo greeted Park Shinhye brightly.
They visited Tissue Bread & beef ribs, a clothing brand that upcycles retired firefighting suits, and a restaurant that stimulates the five senses. The beef rib restaurant's meat was so delicious that they suspected it was fake, as there was no need for Tissue Bread's flavor, and the restaurant that stimulates the five senses lets you watch YouTube and use karaoke, and after stimulating touch and smell, its representative menu was Toowoomba pasta using beats.
The second shop was a clothing brand that runs an upcycling business for retired firefighting suits after winning the lottery. The owner said, "I run a retired firefighting suit upcycling site based on my first-place lottery winnings," and "I won in Aug. 2024. In a dream a fire truck passed by and six firefighters got out at the license plate 33ha 1321. So I combined those numbers with 119 to make the numbers, and that hit," he said.
He said, "My winning amount is 2.9 billion won. I was originally an architectural designer, but my businesses did not go well. First, I paid off the loans from my previous business, and because firefighters appeared in my dream, I thought that if I created a brand to support firefighters I could share my luck with many people," he said.
They put their heads together and chose the fake. It was the upcycled retired firefighting suit product. Park Shinhye felt puzzled that it was a product used by her acquaintance Jang Hee-ryeong. Jang Hee-ryeong said, "I joined because I thought I could do something good."
Ko Kyung-pyo's friends and many fashion creators also participated.
Fire captain Do-yul said, "When I was appointed eight years ago, three firefighters at a neighboring fire station died in the line of duty. They were trainees before appointment. I don't think that was someone else's problem. This is work that requires luck," he said, expressing a desperate wish, and the producers hoped it would help firefighters. The producers put their heads together, saying, "Let's plan something that can donate profits to firefighters," and "Let's create a fake fashion brand."
In fact, the owner said, "I donate 50% of sales to firefighters suffering from PTSD and firefighters battling cancer. I am actually doing an upcycling business with retired firefighting suits," but he did not produce clothing. The owner said, "I don't usually buy lottery tickets often. But I consider this opportunity a lottery."
Designer Ko Tae-yong joined as a talent donation. Designer Ko Tae-yong said, "When the proposal first came, the purpose was so good. I wanted to actively participate," and he made the clothing, and during the actual three months of operation everyone participated to expose the brand, including Yu Jae-seok, Mimi, Ko Kyung-pyo's manager and Park Shinhye's acquaintances. Park Shinhye's eyes reddened with gratitude toward the firefighters, then she maturely restrained herself, saying, "I shouldn't cry like this."
