On Dec. 31, Lee Je-hoon, who seized the grand prize at the SBS Drama Awards, suddenly appears handcuffed, raising growing curiosity about the background.
The SBS Friday-Saturday drama 'Taxi Driver 3' (writer Oh Sang-ho/director Kang Bo-seung/produced by Studio S, Group Eight, B.A. Entertainment) recently aired episode 12, which not only surpassed a peak rating of 19.1% and 15.2% in the Seoul metropolitan area but also ranked first for six consecutive weeks in the TV drama category of the Findex topicality survey (provided by Good Data Corporation), and swept to No. 1 in Gallup Korea's December "TV and video programs Koreans like," leading an unrivaled box-office run. Moreover, after 'Taxi Driver 3' won the drama of the year award at the 2025 SBS Drama Awards, Lee Je-hoon, who plays Kim Do-gi, won the grand prize for acting, pushing the series into its climax amid overwhelming popularity.
In the previous episode, the 'Rainbow Dark Heroes'—Do-gi (played by Lee Je-hoon), Representative Jang (played by Kim Eui-sung), Go Eun (played by Pyo Ye-jin), Chief Choi (played by Jang Hyuk-jin), and Assistant Park (played by Bae Yu Ram)—zeroed in on a 'used-goods scam ring' that committed vicious crimes through a secondhand trading app, delivering a spectacular development. In the process, Do-gi learns of the existence of operators who professionally set up crimes behind the leader of the used-goods scam ring (played by Park Si-yoon), and he personally sets foot in their base, Samheungdo, focusing intense attention on future developments.
In episode 13, the Rainbow Dark Heroes will launch a full-scale pursuit to chase the professional crime-setting operators nicknamed the 'Samheungdoz.' In particular, following Do-gi and Representative Jang, the entire team will enter Samheungdo and begin a blockbuster-level revenge-for-hire service. Especially, Do-gi poses as a crime consulting client to approach the 'Samheungdoz' and their leader, writer Go (played by Kim Sungkyu), which raises interest.
In the released stills, Do-gi is shown being arrested by Captain Kim (played by Ji Dae-han). This raises curiosity as to whether his identity was exposed to the 'Samheungdoz.' Meanwhile, although Do-gi is on the brink with his hands cuffed, he struggles not to give the villain the upper hand. Do-gi's fox-like gaze as he tries to break Captain Kim increases interest and heightens curiosity about what strategy Do-gi will use to manipulate the 'Samheungdoz.'
Alongside this, a scene continues showing Do-gi visiting writer Go, adding to the intrigue.
