Actor Kim Do-hoon won the excellence in acting award at the 2025 SBS Drama Awards.
Kim Do-hoon was called to the stage as the male excellence in acting winner in the miniseries melodrama institutional sector for the drama Love Scout at the '2025 SBS Drama Awards' broadcast on the 31st.
SBS's Love Scout is a work that depicts the close-care romance between headhunting company CEO Kang Ji-yoon (Han Jimin), who is perfect at only 'work,' and Eun-ho (Lee Jun-hyuk), a secretary who is perfect at 'work' too. In the drama, Kim Do-hoon played Woo Jung-hoon, the mood maker of the headhunting company 'Peoples' who is younger and secretly in love with Kang Ji-yoon. He won viewers' praise and love at the same time by convincingly completing the straightforward one-sided love narrative with a wide range of emotions that swung between innocence and longing.
In his acceptance speech, Kim Do-hoon said, "Just two years ago I received the rookie award in this place, and now I have received such a valuable award again. Love Scout is a very precious work to me. I am very grateful to the viewers and fans who have been with 'Love Scout.'" conveying deep affection for the work.
He went on to say, "Before I met this work, every take I acted felt burdensome, as if it were a test. But through this work I thought I could enjoy it freely and act with confidence. It's all thanks to the director, fellow actors and the production staff," expressing his gratitude to those he worked with and adding heartfelt remarks.
Kim Do-hoon, who imprinted a distinct presence through Love Scout, which opened the drama season of 2025, once again proved his acting ability with this Drama Awards win. And with the dense emotional acting and a more expanded ability to portray characters he recently showed in the TVING original Dear X, he has established himself as a 'notable actor.' Along with the Drama Awards win, he has simultaneously boosted the work's buzz, and expectations are gathering for Kim Do-hoon's future moves as he continues his steep upward trajectory.
