BTS officially announced on the 1st that they will make a comeback on March 20. It will be the first time in about 3 years and 9 months that they release a full-group album since the anthology album 'Proof' released in June 2022.
The comeback date was first revealed through a handwritten letter BTS recently sent to ARMY (the fandom name). They delivered handwritten letters to fans' homes to mark the new year. While expressing gratitude to the fans who have stayed by their side, they gave a hint about the comeback date by writing the date '2026.03.20' on the paper.
The members conveyed their sincerity in handwritten messages saying "I have waited more desperately than anyone" (RM), "Thank you so much for waiting" (Jin), "Let's enjoy this year together again. I love you" (Suga), "What we finally imagined has become reality!" (J-Hope), "The year when we meet has come" (Jimin), "Expect more and better memories in 2026!" (V), and "I miss you! Please take care of us again this year" (Jungkook).
This letter is a gift for ARMY who have kept a Weverse membership on the global superfans platform for the past three years and built memories with BTS. Members who did not receive a physical letter can receive the same message on Weverse at the end of January. It was prepared so that domestic and international fans who waited together can all share the hearts of the seven members.
BTS greeted the new year with fans by doing a live broadcast as a full group on Weverse on the last day of 2025. They looked back on the past year and also shared their New Year's wishes. They said, "I hope we can safely make a comeback this year and that the album does well. Let's make BTS a big hit."
Meanwhile, following the new release on March 20, BTS will hold a large-scale world tour. Detailed information about the new album and performances will be released later through official channels.<
