'2025 SBS Drama Awards' actor Lee Je-hoon once again won the grand prize after two years, and the late Lee Soon-jae's contributions were recognized.
On the afternoon of the 31st at SBS Prism Tower, the '2025 SBS Drama Awards' held a time to present awards for the acting of those dramas aired this year. After the opening performance by NCT Wish, the inside of Prism Tower was warm.
Shin Dong-yeob opened by saying, "I am truly grateful to spend the last day of 2025 with viewers." The MCs for the day, Chae Won-bin and Heo Nam-jun, showed signs of nervousness and tried to present what they had prepared. However, in most live unexpected situations, it was Shin Dong-yeob who handled them.
Furthermore, the rookie awards began with eight people, four men and four women. Online, including portals, searches for topics such as joint winners and a flurry of awards rose and fell. Of course, the rookie actors who had done their best in acting teared up as they delivered their remarks.
A special award was presented that day. It was the contribution award. It depicted the story of the late Lee Soon-jae, who had lived a 70-year acting life and hoped to continue acting. Shin Dong-yeob introduced Lee Soon-jae, saying, "He always gave us emotion, and now he is watching over us as a star. We will follow his footsteps." At the sight of Lee Soon-jae, whose long 70 years and hundreds of plays and media performances spanned, everyone reddened their eyes and rose to their feet.
Lee Soon-jae said, "An actor must do it all. King, beggar, traitor, you must constantly agonize. Even now when I look at a script like this I feel I must do something, I still have greed left," and added, "I said I would live past a hundred years," his voice left in life seemed to convey sincerity.
Shin Dong-yeob said, "I will present this on behalf of the teacher who will always shine in the sky," and offered condolences, saying, "And I extend my condolences to the late Yoon Seok-hwa, who was a star of the theater world, and to the actors who passed away one by one."
In the following awards, actors cried and laughed as they conveyed their trembling emotions. In particular, Go Hyun-jung, who returned to SBS after a long time in 'The Mantis: Original Sin,' drew attention by announcing she would not attend the awards ceremony but still won the 'best acting award (mini-series genre) female category.'
'Taxi Driver 3' Lee Je-hoon received the grand prize. Last year's winner Jang Nara had the special experience of giving back the grand prize she received from Lee Je-hoon last year. Lee Je-hoon recalled everyone, including writer Oh Sang-won who wrote so that 'Taxi Driver 3' could come out, the production team, directing staff, CP, and directors. Choking up, he delivered an acceptance speech that focused only on the hard work of fans, the work and the staff this year, drawing attention.
