Netflix's Culinary Class Wars 2 Brewmaster Yun teamed up with Im Seong-keun chef for the TOP7 showdown in the two-person, one-team black-and-white alliance match and shared his thoughts on placing first.
On Dec. 31, Brewmaster Yun wrote on his social media, "I almost had my heart stop watching this week's episode," and added, "I am truly grateful for the support and warm encouragement." He went on, "Did you enjoy the alliance match mission?" and candidly described his overwhelming emotions immediately after the broadcast.
He especially described this mission as a "fateful meeting." About chef Im Seong-keun, who teamed with him, he said, "Our head chef has been a big fan of mine since Korean Cuisine Battle. I approached him nervously as a fan, and I'm grateful he readily accepted." He recalled that when a "hatchet" was pulled out on site, "I really screamed," sharing an anecdote that mixed tension and laughter and drew attention. He added jokingly, "I was the only one who tasted that delicious thing."
Brewmaster Yun also recalled, "It was the first black-and-white mission that was even fun," and teased, "I will gradually share the little anecdotes with chef Im Seong-keun," raising expectations.
He also shared personal news. He said, "I applied to Culinary Class Wars not long after giving birth," and added, "a once-in-a-lifetime challenge—running the restaurant, lectures, books, pop-ups—I was breathlessly busy." He said he is currently "taking a short break, spending time with family, taking care of my health and recharging."
Finally, Brewmaster Yun apologized, "I'm sorry I couldn't answer all the reservation inquiry DMs. Please wait a little," and offered warm New Year's greetings: "You worked hard in 2025. Finish the rest of the year well and have a happy holiday season."
