Actor Suh You-jung underwent tests after a giant uterine fibroid was discovered during a health checkup.
On the 30th afternoon, a video titled [EP.15] You-jung and surgery was uploaded to the YouTube channel "Yoojung and Joojung".
Suh You-jung said, "I had a health checkup this year and was advised by obstetrics and gynecology to have an ultrasound reexamined," opening the conversation. As a result of the reexamination, a giant uterine fibroid nearly 10 cm in size had taken root inside Suh You-jung's body.
She said, "Normally uterine fibroids are about 3 to 6 cm, but mine is almost 10 cm. It's really a large size," unable to hide her embarrassment. Above all, Suh You-jung explained the dangerous situation in which the disease could only grow in an asymptomatic state, saying, "I had no symptoms at all. So I had no idea."
She added, "When I searched the internet, I found that people in their 20s and women before marriage and pregnancy also often get this disease," reiterating the importance of regular health checkups.
Having completed preoperative tests, Suh You-jung said she was nervous, saying, "They said the surgery itself would take about three hours. I happened to see the operating room and felt strange."
