Actor Shim Eun-woo reinforced a calm yet solid presence on the theater stage and plans to step up her acting activities in 2026.
Shim Eun-woo met audiences through the play 'Donghwa Donggyeong,' which was performed from Dec. 25 to 31 at Arko Dream Light Theater in Daehangno.
The work delicately depicts the world of a boy and a girl who face the flames before a brazier and the soot beneath a chimney, and it was selected for the 2025 Arts Council Korea (ARKO) "Arts support for children and youth" program.
On stage, Shim Eun-woo firmly held the flow of the play and provided its center. Building the character's emotional line, she filled the play's density with small movements and glances alone. Especially, her presence, which did not lose its center within the quiet emotion that runs through the play, naturally drew the audience's gaze.
Above all, the sincerity and consistency toward acting that Shim Eun-woo has shown through various works over time were conveyed intact on stage, leaving a deep impression.
After successfully completing the final performance, Shim Eun-woo told OSEN, "I am steadily continuing both acting activities and yoga," and said, "I plan to change my YouTube channel name and keep uploading videos," foreshadowing active moves in 2026.
News of her next projects continues. Shim Eun-woo plans to present again the play 'If I Were You,' which premiered last year, at Small Theater Dongguk from March 4 to 15. The work is directed by Seo Shin-woo and written by Choi Ji-eun.
She will also join a new directorial project by director Shin Dong-min, who won the Korean Competition Grand Prize at the 2023 24th Jeonju International Film Festival for the film 'From You,' and will begin filming from the end of February.
Meanwhile, Shim Eun-woo signed an exclusive contract with Management Nangman last November and resumed full-scale activities. Based on the acting skills she has built through dramas such as drama 'Nara Ollara Nabi,' 'Love Scene Number#,' 'The World of the Married,' and the film 'Seire,' she plans to continue her own path across stage and screen.
