JYP Entertainment–signed boy band NEXZ will aim for a higher leap in 2026.
NEXZ (Tomoya, Yuu, Haru, Sokeon, Seita, Huyi, Yuki) released a video titled NEXZ "NEXTEP 2026" on its official social media channels at 12:00 a.m. on Jan. 1 and introduced the projects it will carry out in the new year.
The video captured attention with dynamic direction that matched NEXZ's free and cool vibe. Repeated screen transitions between spaces such as roads, hallways, rooms and airplanes added a sense of speed and increased immersion. From the unbalanced rhythm created by visual effects centered on inverted objects, you can feel NEXZ's passion and grit as they move beyond the ordinary.
NEXZ announced a range of activities including a global and Japan new album release, their first Asia tour and a Japan special arena tour, a second official domestic fan meeting, a pop-up store for characters representing the seven members called NEXZOO and a new collaboration, a Japanese original broadcast program and global offline events, signature performance content "NEXZ Archive," and the release of original relational content.
Since their global debut with their first single Ride the Vibe in May 2024, NEXZ has shown growth and emerged as a global act to watch. Their mini album 2 O-RLY? released in April 2025 and mini album 3 Beat-Boxer released in October topped major domestic music and album charts, and they achieved results at domestic and international music award shows such as the 39th Japan Gold Disc Awards, ASEA 2025, 2025 The Fact Music Awards (2025 TMA), 2025 Korea Global Music Awards (2025 KGMA) and the 10th Asia Artist Awards 2025.
On the 3rd in Taipei and on the 17th–18th in Macau, they will open the new year with solo performances as part of the special concert NEXZ SPECIAL CONCERT < ONE BEAT >. Attention is focused on NEXZ, a next-generation performance powerhouse capturing fans at home and abroad with solid stage skills, and on their 2026 activities and impact.
