He said he entered all the numbers into Excel to analyze study patterns, such as weekly study hours and subject-by-subject study time. Choi Jang-woo explained that he studied by analyzing objective data about himself.

By contrast, Wang Jeong-geon said, "I approached problems with a playful attitude rather than going in too seriously. I wondered if I could solve them well," and revealed the secret: "I lowered the importance of new problems and reviewed the problems I had already solved enough to memorize them."
In particular, he emphasized, "I reviewed problems I had already solved enough to memorize them. Review over preview. I think quality matters more than quantity of problems."
