Ahn Sung-ki rushed to hospital after choking, remains critical in ICU

 Actor Ahn Sung-ki was transported to the hospital in cardiac arrest and is currently in critical condition.

According to Yonhap News on the 31st, Ahn collapsed at around 4 p.m. on the 30th at his home while eating and choking on food.

He was transported to the emergency room of a hospital near his home while receiving cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). He is also currently hospitalized in the intensive care unit and is reported to be in critical condition.

Ahn debuted as an actor in 1957 in director Kim Ki-young's "Twilight Train". He has appeared in about 200 films over more than 60 years and is loved as a "national actor".

Recently he had been battling blood cancer.<
