Ha Won-mi recounted a harrowing episode while traveling in New York with her daughter.
On the 31st the YouTube channel (HaWonmi) uploaded a video titled "Thank you for everything."
That day Ha Won-mi recalled a dangerous moment from a recent trip to New York with her daughter.
On the last day of the trip, Ha Won-mi, having fought with her daughter as usual and remaining in a cold standoff, went out at 5:30 a.m. to find the car. She recalled, "I had left the car with valet parking. But the valet attendant said he starts work at 7 so he told us to go find it ourselves. But the hotel's parking lot was far away."
At the time, Ha Won-mi had to drop her daughter off at school and catch a plane, so she could not delay and went out onto the New York streets with her daughter at dawn.
Ha Won-mi said, "We couldn't find the way. After wandering for a long time we went down an alley where homeless people were lying like a horde of zombies, and when they saw us they came toward us. I was so scared I thought, 'They wouldn't be coming for us, would they?' We ran to a place with lights on and called the security man."
She continued, "We asked them to help us, and when the security man came out the people who had looked like a horde of zombies disappeared. They had seen us. The moment I felt that, I burst into tears. I have no husband and my daughter and I are a family of two. We have to stick together tightly." she said, explaining that the dangerous moment led to a reconciliation with her daughter.
Fortunately the mother and daughter found the car and got off the street. Ha Won-mi immediately called Choo Shin-soo and told him about it, and Choo Shin-soo said, "When situations like this happen I hate the work I do. I hate the work I do in Korea," expressing his distress.
He added, "Anyway I do the team work and broadcasting because I like it, but when my family is in a dangerous situation I think, 'Why am I doing this right now?'" In response, Ha Won-mi said, "So I don't call in the middle of handling things. I call after everything is resolved. If you call during an unresolved situation it only causes more stress," she said.
