Actor Ko Hyun-jung did not attend the '2025 SBS Drama Awards'.
On the afternoon of the 31st at SBS Prism Tower in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, the '2025 SBS Drama Awards' was held with Shin Dong-yeob, Chae Won-bin and Heo Nam-jun hosting.
That day, nominees for the grand prize Han Jimin, Yoon Kye Sang, Lee Je-hoon and Park Hyungsik appeared at the 'SBS Drama Awards' as scheduled, but Ko Hyun-jung, despite being a nominee for the grand prize, did not attend the ceremony.
Earlier, Ko Hyun-jung also announced her absence through her personal social media. When a fan asked whether she would attend the '2025 SBS Drama Awards', she replied, "No. I will not attend."
Instead of the ceremony, Ko Hyun-jung sent year-end greetings to fans via social media. She said, "In 1995 I lived in Japan. It was the drama ost 'lalala love song' and I spent time watching Takuya Kimura's acting. It's been 30 years..." and added, "In 2025 I will also film 'The Mantis: Original Sin' and I am waiting for 2026 with beautiful people."
Ko Hyun-jung said, "There are many really difficult things. There are many really joyful things. There are many really sad things. There are many really backward things. Is there a way? You have to pass through with your whole body and whole heart," and added, "You should hope for many uneventful days. Happy New Year."
Meanwhile, Ko Hyun-jung met viewers this year through 'The Mantis: Original Sin'. At the '2025 SBS Drama Awards' table for 'The Mantis: Original Sin', which Ko Hyun-jung did not attend, Jang Dong-yoon, Kim Bo-ra, Lee Chang-min and Han Dong Hee attended and held the seats.
