Jisung, Park Heesoon and Won Jina's overwhelming auras are captured in the character poster for "Judge Lee Han-young", which has been unveiled.
MBC's new Friday-Saturday drama "Judge Lee Han-young" (planned by Jang Jae-hoon, written by Kim Kwang-min), set to premiere on Jan. 2, 2026, is a revenge drama about corrupt judge Lee Han-young, who lived as a slave to a giant law firm and returns 10 years to the past to punish great evil through a new choice.
Two days before its premiere, the production of "Judge Lee Han-young" on the 31st (today) released character posters depicting the narratives of Jisung (as Lee Han-young), Park Heesoon (as Kang Shin-jin) and Won Jina (as Kim Jin-a), drawing attention.
First, Jisung perfectly embodies the chilling side of corrupt judge Lee Han-young, who became a slave to power because of an insignificant background. The bold copy "Does a judge have to be nice too?" resonates more strongly with Han-young's calm yet sharp gaze. The moment he stands with his back to the statue of justice raises expectations about how he will achieve justice in the new life he gains after returning.
Park Heesoon, who plays Judge Kang Shin-jin, a man who grabs others' weaknesses and seeks to swallow the judiciary, dominates the atmosphere with charismatic eyes. Seated in the robes of a judge, the many thoughts revealed in his eyes expose the complex inner self of Kang Shin-jin. The phrase "Justice must be faster and clearer than evil" fully expresses Shin-jin's meticulous and driven personality and arouses curiosity about his twisted beliefs.
Finally, Won Jina, who plays Seoul Central District Prosecutor Kim Jin-a, shows a resolute spirit with her firmly set mouth and unshaking gaze looking straight ahead. Her determination to avenge her father, who stepped in on his behalf, is clearly felt in the copy "Trust a smart and also bad-tempered prosecutor once". Her fearless actions as Lee Han-young's steadfast ally are expected to become another highlight of the series.
With character posters that reveal each colorful personality and draw attention even before the broadcast, "Judge Lee Han-young" is based on the work of the same name, which recorded 10.75 million views for the original web novel, 101.91 million views for the webtoon, and a combined 110 million views. Director Lee Jae-jin, who demonstrated sensitive directing in "The Banker", "The Spy Who Loved Me" and "Motel California", joins forces with director Park Mi-yeon and writer Kim Kwang-min.
