Actor Ha Yoon-Kyung talked about the charm and behind-the-scenes of "Undercover Miss Hong".
The new tvN Saturday-Sunday drama "Undercover Miss Hong" (directed by Park Seon-ho, written by Moon Hyun-kyung), scheduled to premiere on Jan. 17, 2026, is a retro office comedy drama set at the turn of the 1990s in which 30-year-old elite securities regulator Hong Geum-bo (Park Shinhye) goes undercover as a 20-year-old low-level employee at a securities firm where suspicious funds flows have been detected, leading to a series of chaotic and comedic events.
"Undercover Miss Hong" has drawn attention as a meeting between undisputed box-office queen Park Shinhye and tvN, and a host of prominent actors including Ko Kyung-pyo, Ha Yoon-Kyung and Cho Han-gyeol have joined, promising a flawless synergy. In addition, director Park Seon-ho, who directed "Greasy Melo", "Business Proposal" and "Suspicious Partner", has teamed up to deliver a fresh take as a turn-of-the-century office comedy drama.
Here, Ha Yoon-Kyung takes on the role of Go Bok-hee and gives a passionate performance. She said of her first impression of "Undercover Miss Hong," "I never felt a dull moment because the story unfolds at a fast pace. The characters are all lively and distinctive, so it was fun to read." She also introduced the character, saying, "Go Bok-hee, whom I play, is a sharp secretary equipped with a capitalist smile at Hanmin Securities, and at the dormitory she is a prim and annoying 'queen sister.' Outwardly she may be prickly, but inside she is warm, a friend you can't help but like." She went on to list keywords for Go Bok-hee such as "queen sister" and "capitalist smile," adding, "Although she sometimes shows a strong senior presence deserving of the title 'queen sister,' she is a multifaceted character who, when working, can also put on a capitalist smile more than anyone else."
Ha Yoon-Kyung expressed affection for the actors she worked with through the drama, saying, "I enjoyed filming with all the cast, but especially with the 'dormitory family' we had great chemistry like close older and younger sisters. I think it was possible because everyone was warm-hearted and lovely."
She also cited "the narratives and relationships of the distinctive characters" as viewing points of the drama, saying, "Although it is an office piece, it is not heavy or difficult; I think it is a work you can watch with a smile." Finally, she said, "The set was full of laughter and also full of passion, and I think that chemistry and energy are fully reflected in the work. I hope viewers gain good vibes and happiness through our drama," leaving a greeting for viewers.
