Actor Seo Kang-jun won his first grand prize for the drama 'Undercover High School'.
On the 30th broadcast of the 2025 MBC Drama Awards, Kim Sung-Ju and actor Lee Sun-bin served as MCs, and IU and Byeon Wooseok took the stage to present this year's drama award for the drama '21st-century great lady'. 'Oh My Ghost Clients', 'Motel California', 'Undercover High School' and 'Moon River' were nominated, and the drama of the year was 'Undercover High School'.
The momentum continued. The recipient of the coveted grand prize was also Seo Kang-jun of 'Undercover High School.' When called to the stage as the winner, Seo Kang-jun honestly expressed, "If I say how I feel now, I am more embarrassed than happy. I am very surprised and embarrassed."
He continued, "I am grateful to my agency head and all the staff. And thank you to the cast of 'Undercover'," recalling those who worked on the project first. He did not omit his affection for his family. Seo Kang-jun said, "My family, mother and father, be healthy and I love you. And my older sister, you got married, congratulations and live well. I also congratulate my brother-in-law on becoming family," drawing laughter.
Seo Kang-jun said that the first project he filmed after military service was 'Undercover High School' and shared his feelings. He said, "This was the first project I filmed after returning from the military. I missed this set so much," and added, "I have acted for over 10 years and always thought to be grateful and cherish it, but I think I unconsciously forgot that feeling."
He added, "Spending countless hours in the military, I missed this set so much, and receiving such a weighty award through 'Undercover' makes me even more embarrassed and surprised."
A humble confession followed. Seo Kang-jun said, "While filming, I often thought, 'I could be replaced at any time,'" and added, "When I look around, there are so many people who work harder and are more excellent than me. I wonder why I am standing here and holding this award. I can only think it was because I was lucky."
Finally he said, "I do not know how old I will be before I stop doing this job, but I do not want to be replaced until the day I finish," and vowed, "So I will study, think and act more desperately." He then concluded his acceptance remarks by saying, "I am sincerely grateful."
