Shinhwa's Kim Dong Wan praised broadcaster Yu Jae-seok while sharing an anecdote about him.
On the 30th, Kim Dong Wan shared an episode he experienced during a past SBS Running Man recording on his social account.
He recalled, "It was a fairly cold day. Right after the opening, a situation came up where we were supposed to wrestle in the mud, and since all the cast had gone to the shop early in the morning to get fully made up, there was a momentary atmosphere of, Is this right?"
He added, "At that time, Jae-seok hyung silently jumped in first. There was no need to go that far, but seeing him run in as hard as possible, in the end no one could avoid joining," describing how Yu Jae-seok took the lead and threw himself into the situation when everyone hesitated.
Kim Dong Wan admired, "Jae-seok hyung has always served as a catalyst who breaks the stiffness on set by throwing himself in and opening the stage. If someone hesitates, he pushes them, and he naturally catches someone's ad-lib to so-called 'save' them. If that position disappears, the stage doesn't get resolved as easily as one might think and can just become messy."
He explained, "In Japan, Tamori, known for the iconic narration of the Stranger Things series, Music Station, and Bratamori, has long played a similar role. Tamori does not talk much on variety shows. He sets the tone with quiet reactions or sometimes silence. From the Korean viewers' perspective, they might feel, Isn't he too quiet?, but among Japan's young generation he has been perceived as an easy-to-watch adult on TV who is not authoritative and does not burden viewers with needless nagging or lecturing."
He offered sincere support for Yu Jae-seok, saying, "Someone who harmonizes with many people and oversees the stage, but who must always take a step back. I hope the name Yu Jae-seok remains in that position for a long time."
Meanwhile, on the 29th, the 2025 MBC Entertainment Awards took place at the MBC Media Center public hall in Sangam-dong. The grand prize that day went to Yu Jae-seok. With this, Yu Jae-seok claimed his 21st grand prize overall and his ninth grand prize from MBC, saying, When I receive a big award, I am personally honored and grateful, but at some point I wanted to make eye contact and thank each and every person who stays late to applaud and support us and those who work hard behind the cameras. Not only me but as someone's son or daughter, thanks to your dedication and effort I have been able to stand on this stage more than twenty times. Even as the broadcasting environment becomes increasingly difficult, I want to say thank you to the colleagues, seniors and juniors who quietly endure. Above all, I thank the viewers. Many programs exist because of you, and I will work hard on Hangout With Yoo next year as well," expressing his gratitude.

Was it Running Man? It was a fairly cold day.
Right after the opening, a situation came up where we were supposed to wrestle in the mud, and since all the cast had gone to the shop early in the morning to get fully made up, there was a momentary atmosphere of, Is this right?

Splat.
